Fountain of Youth Frequency

Pretty much everyone wants to look and feel younger.

That’s why the anti-aging industry is worth billions of dollars: Think creams, supplements, botox, etc.

The thing is, you don’t need to spend loads of money to stay youthful. We know from the scientific literature that the secret to staying youthful is a combination of good sleep, a good diet, and exercise. Add some yoga and meditation to the mix and you have the perfect anti-aging recipe.

Well, almost…

Most people don’t know that music can help too.

Science Proves

Indeed, research shows that music can be used to improve cognitive function and overall quality of life as we age (1).

Research also shows that listening to music from the past inspires the brain to replicate the mix of hormones and chemicals that were present when you first listened to the music. This makes you feel younger and promotes anti-aging (2).

But what if we could tune our brain into specific frequencies that stimulate the anti-aging process? Good news. We can!

By entraining the brain with Delta frequencies we can stimulate the production of DHEA – an anti-aging hormone – and reduce the production of cortisol, a stress hormone that can expedite the aging process.

Increasing DHEA Levels with Binaural Beats

DHEA is one of the most abundant circulating steroids in humans. Levels of DHEA peak in early adulthood and then slowly fall as we age.

While the science is not wholly conclusive in this area, there is a broad consensus that increasing the production of DHEA may slow the aging process, possibly improving cognitive function and body composition (3).

That being said, supplementation has known side effects (4). So how can we boost DHEA naturally?

As documented by Michael J. Breus, Ph., a clinical psychologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, a study of 19 people found that exposure to binaural beats increased DHEA activity. The study found that 68 percent of participants had increases in DHEA after using binaural beats.

In postmenopausal women, DHEA can serve as an estrogen agonist with the ability to stimulate breast cancer cells. The estrogen concentration in breast tumors is significantly higher compared to the plasma levels, which could be from the conversion of androgens to estrogens by the aromatase enzyme.

DHEA-increased serum levels showing a relative reduction in visceral fat was 10.2 percent in women and 7.4 percent in men, with a concomitant reduction in subcutaneous abdominal fat.

Investigators found it counteracted the papery appearance associated with postmenopausal skin aging and was associated with the improvement of DHEA-induced changes of procollagen.

Typically, women can expect to experience some benefit within just a few weeks after increased DHEA, with the most noticeable benefits manifesting four to six months after experiencing the increase.

Benefits of Cortisol Reduction

Cortisol, on the other hand, fell by 70% in the same study (4).

Cortisol is a steroid hormone that is produced by your 2 adrenal glands, which sit on top of each kidney. When you are stressed, increased cortisol is released into your bloodstream. Having the right cortisol balance is essential for your health, and producing too much cortisol can cause health problems.

High cortisol levels can cause several symptoms, such as weight gain, headaches, sleeplessness, and irritability.

The mean cortisol level was found to increase approximately 9 times in stressful periods compared with that in relaxed periods. STAI, which shows state anxiety, showed an increase supporting this increase. In stressful periods, dynamic balance scores showed an obvious decrease in all directions.

While this study group was small and further research is recommended, this is a positive and statistically significant development, and, considering how effortless and inexpensive it is to listen along, it’s certainly worth trying.

Additionally, research suggests that listening to Delta binaural beats will improve sleep quality and long-term memory, making the benefits of binaural beats a multi-pronged approach to improving overall health (5).

Frequencies Used in the Fountain Of Youth

The Fountain Of Youth meditation covers a wide spectrum of the Delta frequency range

The track starts at 12 Hz (Alpha), approximately where your dominant brainwaves will be functioning when you start listening. Alpha waves are those between 8 and 12(Hz). Alpha waves will peak around 10Hz. Good healthy alpha production promotes mental resourcefulness, aids in the ability to mentally coordinate, and enhances the overall sense of relaxation and fatigue.

The track then gradually takes you down into the Delta state zone.

Specific Delta frequencies then cycle for an equal amount of time (approximately 6 minutes) at 4, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, 1.5, 1, 0.5 Hertz.

Binaural beats in the delta (1 to 4 Hz) range have been associated with deep sleep and relaxation. Binaural beats in the theta (4 to 8 Hz) range are linked to REM sleep, reduced anxiety, relaxation, as well as meditative and creative states.

Daytime Version 1 can be listened to in the daytime because it ramps slowly back up to the point at which you started (12 Hz). This leaves your brain in an awakened state and enables you to get on with your schedule afterward.

Nighttime Version 2 finishes in the low Delta state and is therefore suited to listening in the late evening and preferably before going to sleep.

To complement the binaural beat frequencies, the music has been tuned to a frequency of 528 Hz.  This frequency is broadly associated with stress reduction, DNA repair, and general body rejuvenation.
